Expected Brazil line-up v Argentina

Cortês and Lucas are both expected to start tonight (Mowa Press)

Judging from Mano Menezes’ team during training on Tuesday, Brazil’s likely starting line-up for tonight’s game will be: Jefferson, Danilo, Réver, Dedé, Cortês, Ralf, Romulo, Lucas, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Neymar and Borges. Expect it to be a 4-2-3-1 with Borges leading the line, Ronaldinho floating around behind him and Neymar and Lucas providing the width.

Borges will make his debut at age 30 but fully deserves it after scoring 19 Serie A league goals for Santos so far this season. Fred won’t be too happy about that (and his place on the bench) though. Cortês and Rí´mulo come in to make their debuts at left back and centre midfield respectively. For the full squad see this post.

The game kicks off at 21.50 Brazil time (01.50am UK) by the way.
