Santos take first leg lead to Brazil in Libertadores quarter final

Santos beat Once Caldas in Colombia 1-0 thanks to a goal from Alan Patrick who only played due to the injury to Ganso. Zé Eduardo was once again utterly useless up front for Santos. Watch out Genoa fans: you have signed a donkey! Neymar was once again full of dribbles and skills and it was his pass that set up the goal. Another point to make is how Santos have improved defensively since Muricy’s arrival, which for some reason the Brazilian press aren’t talking about. That’s six clean sheets in a row I’ll have you know!!!! Not bad for a team who conceded about two goals a game last year. There is something else I need to say too: Danilo is quality!

The second leg will be played in Santos next week.
