São Paulo confirm Luis Fabiano signing

Luis Fabiano is back (Wander Roberto/VIPCOMM)

Luis Fabiano has resigned for São Paulo – the club where he made his name and won his first cap for Brazil. He was presented to 45,000 screaming fans last night at the Morumbi stadium. Pretty good reception I must say.

It’s a shrewd piece of business for São Paulo because for me, Luis Fabiano (30) is still one of the top strikers in the world. No jokes. Only last year he was firing them in for Brazil at the World Cup. See previous link.

Good few days this for São Paulo fans after beating arch rivals Corinthians for the first time in four years, Rogério Ceni’s 100th goal and now Luis Fabiano, the prodigal son, returning home. Happy times indeed.
