Brazilian stars of the future win under 20 World Cup

Even without their two star names – Neymar and Lucas – Brazil won the under 20 World Cup in Colombia. They beat Portugal 3-2 after extra time in a lively final in which midfielder Oscar was the hero, scoring all three of Brazil’s goals. It’s the fifth time that Brazil have won the trophy. I have finally finished the most complex piece of work in this blog’s history: a list of the top 10 youngsters playing in Brazil. In order to compile the list, I have followed countless rumours and leads, gone through player dossiers, match reports, television footage, trawled the state championships, lower leagues and youth divisions up and down the country, interviewing coaches, fans and scouts alike.
